FAQ

Q Do Gutter Guys charge for quotations?
A All of our quotations are based on our extensive experience and are FREE of charge

Q Can I have my gutters replaced but keep my existing down pipes?
A Often the vertical portion of the down pipe is reusable but the top horizontal portion has rusted. “Gutter Guys” can replace the rusted top of the down pipe allowing you to keep your down pipe and save you money.

Q Do I have to take my old gutters to the tip
A No, we'll dispose of your old gutters free of charge and organize to have the scrap metal recycled.

Q I heard some gutter replacement companies buy cheap gutters from Asia. Do Gutter Guys buy inferior quality gutters?
A No. We only use top quality materials which are backed by an extensive guarantee

Q Will my corner tile cappings be broken when my gutters are replaced?
A Usually not. In most cases we are able to replace your gutters without lifting the tile capping. If we have to lift the cappings, they are replaced with care and glued back into place.

Q Water pools in my gutters and doesn't run to the down pipes. Shouldn't gutters have a fall to the down pipes?
A Eaves gutters are actually installed level but unfortunately as the roof ages it sags, creating low points where the water pools. The only way to resolve this is to provide an extra outlet at the low point to allow the water to escape.

Q Do Gutter Guys replace the fascia too?
A Yes. Gutter Guys can replace most metal fascias with a Colorbond or Zincalume fascia.

Q I heard that Gutter Guys offer three month terms.
A Correct. We offer a facility where you can pay the full price of the job by credit card over three months. We simply take a deposit on acceptance, a third of the balance on completion, a third a month later and then the final third a month after that. It couldn't be easier. A small administration charge does apply for this service.

Q Do Gutter Guys solder the joints on the gutters and down pipes?
A Fortunately solder has been replaced by flexible putty and rivets. This flexibility allows joint movements to occur that would have previously cracked the brittle solder joints and caused the gutters to leak.
