Leaf Mesh

Aluminium leaf mesh is designed to allow leaf litter to fall off the roof while still allowing rainwater to pass through the mesh into the gutter.

It is attached to the front lip of the gutter with aluminium trim (not shown in these images) and extends up under the second roof tile. This extension provides the required angle to allow the leaf litter to fall off the roof. Many other inferior leaf guards do not extend up the roof surface and do not have the required angle to allow the leaves to fall off. These leaf guards simply trap the leaf litter behind the gutter.

Some leaf guards have very small holes. These holes block easily and do not allow the rain water to penetrate causing the rain water to cascade straight over the gutter onto the ground. Our aluminium gutter mesh has been designed with 4mm holes to provide the best combination of water penetration and leaf litter shedding.

Aluminium gutter mesh is available in 12 colours to match your roof and can be used on both the gutters and roof valleys on tile and metal roofs. It has a flammability index of zero so it’s ideal to protect your home from burning embers during bush-fires and carries a 12 year guarantee.

Tip! Cleaning Your Gutters
1. Block the down pipe outlet with a rag
2. Scrape the debris and silt out with a plastic trowel and place into a bucket
3. Sweep the gutter clean with a hand brush
4. Remove the rag blocking the outlet and flush the gutter with water
5. Make sure the water flows freely through the down pipe. If not, insert a hose and push until the blockage is cleared
6. Wipe the gutter inside and outside surface with a mild solution of soap and water
